For whatever reason, I’m much more comfortable wearing lipstick in cooler temperatures. I have my summer colors that add just a bit of shine or color but nothing major. While I have those two products in my handbag at all times, there are a few fall lip colors I have on constant rotation these days – four actually. Two of them are more subdued while the other two are bold. They provide me with a well-rounded selection no matter the outfit or occasion. Because I have little patience with reapplication, I invest in nicer lipsticks that keep their color for long periods of time, so I don’t have to worry about fading, smudging, or whatever it is that lipsticks do.
This has become my go to for all occasions. It’s a great nude lipstick that won’t wash you out. And this sounds weird, I know, but it smells fabulous! I love this little YSL number and it’s also always in my purse – a perfect on-the-go pick-me-up!
I’ve had this MAC lipstick for a while and I still love it. It’s not quite pink, not quite red, and adds a perfect punch to any look. I’ve mixed it with other lipsticks also to bring out the various hues.
This is hands down the best lipstick I’ve ever owned. The love the red tone – so classic and perfect year round really. But it’s the fact that the color stays on your lips so well. Even if it’s starting to wear off, you don’t have weird lines or patches – it uniformly fades but not much, so you always look put together. I’m seeking out more Chanel lip products. This fall hue “Temeraire” is at the top of my wishlist right now.
I’ve talked about this “almost lipstick” before and I probably will continue to talk about it for a while – it’s the perfect subtle, bold lip product for fall. The great part is that it blends with your lips to give it a hue that matches your coloring naturally. It’s easy to throw on for day and night.
