5 Festive Prosecco Ideas

Prosecco is such a wonderful sip during the holidays, so why ruin a good thing? These festive prosecco serving ideas take little time and make it all feel so special (and with seasonal produce no less)!

When it comes to holiday entertaining, there are a lot of things to plan, prep, and carry out (on top of all the other many to-do lists around this time of year). And while I try to help with my gift guides, I understand I can’t do it all either!

I love good cocktails, but I will focus on the food before all else when having friends and family over to our house (like any one of these simple winter appetizers). You can always serve wine or even have guests provide the drinks for your get-together. No need to do it all yourself!

My recent obsession, however, is one of these festive prosecco serving ideas!

Festive Prosecco Serving Ideas for Holidays

Festive Prosecco Serving Ideas

Simply chill a bottle of prosecco or white wine the day of your get-together. You can serve it on its own, but I love jazzing it up with fresh, festive fruit or by stirring in an extra flavor. Just don’t forget to put your bottles in the fridge in time!

NOTE: You can put them in the freezer for about 20-30 minutes to speed up the chilling, but set a timer or alarm as you don’t want to leave them in there for too long.

All the glass serving suggestions below are just ideas – feel free to serve the sparkling wine in whatever you have!

Pomegranate Arils in Prosecco

Prosecco + Pomegranate Seeds

The pomegranate seeds (arils) add a simple pop of color and fizz. See my video tutorial on how to deseed pomegranates!

Prosecco + Elderflower Liqueur

St. Germain is a delicious liqueur, adding fun flavor to so many cocktails. You can also use elderflower syrup here in lieu of the alcoholic version. If you love elderflower as much as I do, check out these elderflower cocktail recipes!

Prosecco + Persimmon Slices

Persimmons are my new favorite fruit and I just love the design they have when sliced horizontally. This video shows how to slices persimmons if you’re unsure.

You can use fresh or dried slices of persimmon depending on your vibe or what you have on hand. Persimmon is a great fall fruit and can often be found into the beginning of winter but not for long!

If you have extra, add them to this persimmon salad!

Prosecco + Cranberry Skewers

The ultimate in Christmas and New Year’s – fresh cranberries add color and ambiance but not flavor, but isn’t this just beautiful?

Serve them on these reusable metal skewers (across the top or dipped into the prosecco) or let them float freely in the wine (not too many, however).

These skewers are great if you love entertaining. I’m also used them to serve these broccoli appetizers!

Prosecco & Dried Citrus

Whether you opt for dried orange or dried blood orange, nothing beats this natural winter decor & garnish for your prosecco.

They also make great natural cake decorations! We also use them to decorate our home around the holidays and into the new year!

Looking for other great winter cocktails? Try this Lambrusco pomegranate sangria and a winter sangria! Of course this brunch sangria would be perfect Christmas morning!

Need something non-alcoholic? Pomegranate lemonade will be loved by all!
