Since rediscovering these short boots in my closet last month, they’ve been on fairly constant rotation. Even after wearing them almost every day in London, I’ve been grabbing them again and again. I’ve been wanting to roll up my skinny jeans with them so they didn’t gather around my ankle but was weirded out by showing my socks and it’s too chilly to skip those! I decided to wear statement socks (is that a thing?) so it was clear that I knew my socks were showing and I wasn’t just wearing pants that were too short. I think I caught some people looking at my socks when they peeked out, but I love how fun they are! We should all show our happy socks a little more often, right? Anyway, I’m rocking ankle boots + skinny jeans with a fun pop of color until it’s warm enough to skip the socks!
I’m a huge fan of rolling/cuffing jeans – hugely helpful since my legs are on the shorter side. If you want some help on cuffing your denim, this older post shows 9 ways to cuff your jeans!
My sweater from Aritzia arrived last week and I wore it immediately. I only have two sweaters that I really wear on chilly days, so adding a third one to the mix was an exciting endeavor. I love the sweater in the smaller size as much as I hoped I would. I forgot how easily black shows lint, however, so I have my sweater pill stone and lint roller in place! I also won’t be wearing it with my huge oversized white and pink scarf again – an amateur mistake for sure!
