Red Christmas Sangria
Ready for a glass of sweet and festive Christmas sangria? Of course you are. And I certainly am too! Time is flying by this month. It’s to be expected during the holiday season, I suppose, but it’s always a little unexpected too, isn’t it? My sangria recipe skills have definitely come a long way since the first one I made my Winter Sangria w. Pear, Apple, + Cranberry. That first sangria is certainly a favorite recipe, but I’ve been slowly learning the art of less is more, but only if you have just the right flavor combinations. Luckily, this Lambrusco Christmas sangria is just right and easy enough not to stress you out this holiday season.

Christmas Sangria
I’ve learned more about different wine varieties and what sorts of fruits do what when left to mingle with wine for hours on end. My general guideline is that the sweeter the fruit, the drier the wine you want to use. Tarter fruits are in need of a sweeter wine. Because pomegranate and ginger are both tart flavors, Lambrusco is the perfect wine to mix with those two flavors.
Lambrusco is a sweet, sparkling red wine from Italy that provides just the right balance in this sangria. The fizzy bubbles are so fun and festive. Since we all want recipes that are delicious, festive, and (maybe most of all) easy this time of year, a lambrusco sangria is the best way to go. It’s fizzy nature adds fun without any extra work or items to pickup at the store and the deep red color is just to die for. Add in a few easy ingredients, mix, and let it sit in the fridge to marry while you get ready (or wrap presents) – whatever you need!
