I’m home from our Eastern Sierras vacation with 14 different tan lines, a blister from kayaking, and a renewed appreciation for the great outdoors. Now, I’m adjusting to city life and a whole lot of laundry. What better way to adjust to city life (and forget about the laundry) than a bold lip, right? I haven’t been wearing lip products besides my favorite sheers and nudes for months now, so when I opened up my little container of lipsticks the other day, it felt overdo to throw some color on. And considering this neutral summer outfit situation, though beyond comfortable, a pop of color seemed fitting…
Neutral Summer Outfit w. Jeans
I got this Current/Elliott muscle tee during our downtown Portland trip. I love my Current/Elliott jeans, but their other clothing items are equally amazing. I’ve even got my mom hooked on their tops now. This muscle tee comes in all sorts of colors and minimalistic patterns. I’m wearing a size 1 (equivalent to size 2-4) and you can see that it’s rather loose still and definitely longer (even on my lengthy torso). It’s the perfect tee for those hot days and it goes well with shorts, skinny jeans, and sweats – not that we’re worried about that last part though!
Since it rarely gets above 85 in West LA and because I work from home, I still live in my pants quite a bit during the summer. But I always desperately need go to tanks for everything I need to in the summer. Fun prints like this feather one are the perfect little pop of fun in my otherwise neutral summer outfit rotation without making me any hotter.
