Since finishing grad school a few years ago, I’ve developed a few wonderful Saturday habits. My most recent addition has been an afternoon nap. I may be a big kid, but that Saturday afternoon nap makes my little world go round. In fact, I didn’t get one last weekend and I’m totally feeling it this week!
The longer standing tradition happens on Saturday mornings, however. My husband and I try to leave Saturday mornings open to sleeping in. Neither of us usually sleeps past about 8:30 and even 8 is later for me. But there’s something wonderful about waking up naturally and not to an alarm or to a need to get up and get moving.
Since I usually wake a up a little before him, I like to head into the living room with a book or magazine (in this case a huge stack of them) and sip on my coffee until he wakes up and we ease into weekend life…
If you’re anything like me, you struggle with being cold and, in particular, having cold feet (not the nervous kind!). I still shock my husband with how cold I can get. I usually make some ball of a mess trying to get blankets around my feet and over my body. And inevitably, the cold air finds that one tiny crevice I missed.
This beautiful red blanket has a foot pocket and while such a simple, straightforward idea, I’m dying at how genius it is! PediPocket blankets are fleece, so they’re super soft and they’re machine washable – too good to believe, I know!
To top that off, they’re great for indoors and outdoors. But the pièce de résistance is that they’re six feet long. They cover your cold feet and your whole body without having to contort into any funny angles.
I haven’t told my husband that even he could fit into the blanket. I’m sure as the weather cools down, he’ll be inching under my blanket with me! There are ten colors and prints – a little something for everyone! I almost got that beautiful grey color, but I’m happy I opted for the black cherry!
