Black Lace Top Outfit
Some of you may remember my mentioning trouble with my calf and ankle this last summer. It’s been such an aggravating reality that I haven’t brought it up much but bi-weekly physical therapy appointments and twice daily stretch routines was my M.O. for a while there. More than that, however, was the annoying pain (it’s been a thing since about February) and my inability to wear anything with a heel. At one point, I think it was late August, I put on my mule slides (they have a heel, but they’re super comfy). Within five minutes of walking around the house, I could feel the tightness kicking in to play. It was so frustrating. Anyway, I’m down to physical therapy only every two weeks now and the pain is greatly diminished. I’m just now considering wearing heels again, starting with my favorite tan suede boots. I threw them on with a plaid shirt and black jeans yesterday and this casual black lace top outfit earlier in the weekend. To be able to wear heels two days in a row feels pretty spectacular, so lookout! I’m hoping a raft of outfits with pumps are in my future (to make up for lost time)…
Natalie Frigo Necklace
If the name Natalie Frigo seems familiar, it’s because she makes the antler necklace I wear just about everyday. I had this CHEAP gold, sparrow necklace of similar size from Forever21 when I was in college. The ‘paint’ was wearing off, but I couldn’t let it go. It paired too well with everything and I ALWAYS received compliments when I wore it. I wasn’t gonna let something so amazing go, no matter how tarnished it was. When I found the antler necklace nearly two years ago, I knew immediately that I would love it. Funny enough, I wondered if it would garner as many compliments as my F21 sparrow and time has told me that it has. Natalie Frigo designs ethical jewelry and reuses metals to help limit pollution. I love that her pieces are super unique but so easy to wear. This large claw necklace is my latest addition. It’s under $100 and goes well with anything. I hadn’t thought of wearing a long necklace with a scarf, but the combination actually works so well, I’ll probably do it all season long!!
