Casual Trench Coat Outfit
I’ve wanted a trench coat for a few years now but hadn’t ever bought one for myself. Somewhere in the last few years, my husband got the bug that I needed a trench coat too (no complaints by me), but he couldn’t find the right one. Well, of course he loved the Burberry options, but those are out of the budget at the moment. For my birthday a few months ago, he found this J. Crew trench coat and knew it would be perfect. I don’t shop at J. Crew very often, but he always finds the perfect gifts for me there, so I think I need to start scouring their site more often!! Anyway, I threw on this casual trench coat outfit last week and all the sudden, a bit of fog rolled in and the temperature dropped. I think the weather gods knew I needed some chilly weather. The only problem was, it reminded me of being in London last year for Christmas and New Year’s Eve (see our trip here). I got nostalgic. We are certainly looking forward to holidays with our families at home this year and seeing everyone, but there was something so wonderful about renting a flat in London and wandering around the city each day – making meals in our small kitchen with food bought at Borough Market, riding the Tube all over town, and trying our best to stay warm in the 30 degree weather. Until we can get back to London, however, this trench coat will be on repeat in casual and dressed up ensembles!
Best Mini Crossbody
I’ve said it time and time again, but this Tory Burch crossbody is such a staple in my life. I wear it to dinners and work events, but it’s also great for cold fall and winter days where I’m all bundled up. It’s a small bag to hold my necessities over all my layers. I don’t have to struggle to keep my bag on my shoulder and worry about it falling off – I can just stay warm and cozy in my coat with my hands in my pockets!! If you’re looking for the perfect wishlist item, this is it!!
