My husband and I were both under the weather last week, so the weekend was such a welcome reprieve. Neither of us seem to be 100% but a little sleeping in, some naps, and a slow roll to each day certainly did us some good. I lived in an oversized men’s flannel my mom got me years ago (in UC Berkeley colors no less – Go Bears!). Since the weather isn’t certain what it’s doing these days, light layers are perfect, including this color block sweater outfit. . .
Color Block Sweater Outfit
I’ve been a fan of Eileen Fisher for a few years now. The styles are always classic and so well made. I also love that they’re working toward becoming a wholly sustainable fashion as best they can. Their items do usually run large, so my normal size small usually opts for an x-small and, occasionally, an xx-small. This sweater is an x-small and you can see it fits loosely and comfortably. It’s also perfectly light weight! The thing I love most about this color block sweater outfit, well any color block sweater outfit really is how fun and easy it is to style. The multi-color piece can be your pop of color with an otherwise monochrome or muted ensemble or you can pull from the colors in the piece to add some fun bits to your look. Since I don’t own much purple or tan (is that burnt orange maybe?), my favorite blue fedora was an easy addition!
And completely off-topic. My hair stylist has been using a color booster in my hair to keep it more platinum for as long as possible. He started out adding just a little bit of the product to my color and now is going all in. Since I’m rather obsessed with the cooler tones, I love the longevity of it – lasting the 6-7 weeks between my visits to see him! I’ve noticed I’ve been getting more compliments too, which is always a plus. My hair is my signature feature, so I always stand a little taller when I get a compliment on it!
