The last few months, my monthly beauty roundups have been mostly about body and skin care. This month has some makeup finds mixed in and I’m a bit obsessed with each of these great beauty finds since they focus on moisturizing skin and making you look glowing and refreshed!
NYX Wonder Pencil Review
I learned about this highlighter pencil from a friend’s Instagram story. She mentioned that it was life changing and I knew how easy it was to find NYX (available at Target and CVS), so I added it my list and bought it. The pencil is fairly smooth on application, but I like to just apply it on the bridge of my nose – near the inner corners of my eyes. Then I use my finger to mix it in with my under eye concealer – on my inner and under eye areas. It adds a nice brightness around my eyes and it’s so easy to apply.
NYX Away We Glow Review
After grabbing the wonder pencil, I couldn’t stop checking out all the other NYX products on display. One that caught my eye was their Away We Glow line. It’s available in a wide variety of skin tone shades, but I was immediately attracted to the blue, which mixes easily into my tinted moisturizer, adding a lovely shimmer. It’s also helping the warm tint mesh better with my fading color! The line provides buildable coverage, which is also a plus. With this blue tint, I just rub my tinted moisturizer and it between my fingertips and rub/press it into my face. After I apply concealer where needed, I press a little more of the mixture over the spots to blend them more evenly.
Made with Love Wellness Co. Longevity Water Review
This moisturizing spray was a find at our farmers’ market a few weeks ago. In addition to the sublimely delicious lavender almond “mylk” I daydream about, they also have a line of beauty products. This mist is designed to add a quick spritz of moisture morning, noon, and night – applying as needed. The spray is more than I expected in terms of quantity, but I love how quickly it settles into my skin. I’m still figuring out when I can use it (i.e. with my makeup all done), but it’s a lovely find thus far.
Old Whaling Co. Body Butter Review
I found this travel-size body butter on our quick stop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire last week. I’ve been searching for a new purse-friendly cream, so I grabbed this Seaweed and Sea Salt scent. The company was started by a mother looking for products that wouldn’t irritate her son’s skin. It’s paraben-free, sulfate-free, and so much more!
