It seemed only fitting to have two red shoe outfits this week (see the first red pumps outfit). As I mentioned the other day, I usually debate giving away my red shoes in the summer time when they just don’t mix with what I’m wearing. Then every November to January, I count my lucky stars something told me to keep them in my closet, especially when I need some Christmas party attire. . .
These red mary jane heels are by a shoe designer that sadly no longer makes shoes – Anyi Lu. I first discovered her at Nordstrom. The price point was in that “awkward middle ground” of a few hundred dollars for a designer whom many people haven’t heard.
When it comes to shoes, I tend to live in this zone. These designers make incredibly high-quality shoes, but because they don’t have the famous brand name behind it, the shoes don’t cost $800-$1000+. Many people don’t like to spend so much money on a company with whom they are unfamiliar, but I’ve had the best luck with shoes that are stylish and long-lasting (you know I like to rewear items season after season). These Ron White loafers are top of mind when it comes to this.
Christmas Party Attire
Anyway, I wore almost this exact outfit to my husband’s holiday party last week. These lace jogger pants have turned out to be such a fabulous purchase. They’re so comfortable (hello elastic waist along the back), so stylish, and perfect with any number of tops and shoes. I topped them with this beautiful white sweater (also on major repeat this season) here and with a white semi-sheer tank for the party. Don’t tell anyone, but I may wear something similar for New Year’s Eve in Vancouver as well!
