Happy Spring Training! I’m a baseball girl, so the arrival of spring training in February is kind of an event in our house. My husband and I do happy dances and start counting down the days til we can watch baseball! Sadly, we don’t get to see many Giants (my team) or A’s (his team) games in LA, but we get in tons of baseball games in general! Because my team’s colors are orange and black, dressing to support them can easily look silly (i.e. like a Halloween aficionado). Therefore I have to get a little creative to put together a chic baseball game outfit. This look is so straightforward and simple, but the great hat and mini pop of orange in my jewelry seems to be just right…
Chic Baseball Game Outfit
One of my best friends bought me this Giants hat with the San Francisco skyline about ten years ago. I LOVED it immediately – by far and away one of the coolest things I’d ever owned. Since then, I’ve discovered just how unique this hat is. I regularly get messages from people wondering where they can get my hat. Sadly, I can’t find anything similar!
Looking for a something fun, however, I always find new ones that catch my eye. This hat with California state on the side (though I wish it wasn’t a snapback) and this grey tweed hat with orange logo (also available in snapback) were two fun ones that I can imagine rocking at a game. Fitted hats for sports teams are always labeled as “men’s” for some silly reason, but there are so many sizes, everyone can join in on the fun.
How to pick baseball hat size for women
I always size up a bit from my true measurements for two reasons. First, I don’t like to bend the bill on these unique hats (they last longer that way too). Second, I usually wear my hair down with these hats, so I like the looser fit. You can find your perfect baseball cap for your team on JC Penney’s website! I love them for dresses and workout clothes, and now I can order a new baseball cap!
