Every time I think of flannels and fall weather, the quote from Devil Wears Prada goes through my head. “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking!” The same rings true for flannels for fall and I have no problem with it…
Flannels for Fall
My mom is a flannel connoisseur; if there is such a thing. She’s long been buying Eddie Bauer’s women’s and men’s flannels! My sister and I each have a number of flannels and I’m not sure either one of us has ever bought one. My mom scores them on major sale (like $10-$20) and then gives them to us.
Not only do we love “just [that] extra layer” as she calls it, it’s also a cozy gift from mom! Besides a warm coffee or tea, what more do you need for fall?!
Dressing Up Flannels
Needless to say, we’re flannel lovers year round and I’m a little obsessed with finding flannel outfit ideas that don’t make me look like I rolled out of bed. I’ve decided layering them and rolling up the sleeves/popping the collar can each make a world of difference (even if I did spend very little time on my outfit)!
So whether you go the traditional route of red buffalo plaid, opt for a monochrome button up, or get a little wild and crazy like this one (which matches basically every single thing ever!), just remember you can never have too many flannels for fall in your closet when you need just an extra layer!
