I’m hitting the point where I just want to wear the same two things every day, but then something tells me not to. Luckily I have some really great options in my maternity capsule collection. I recently talked about how maternity clothes can be unflattering if you aren’t careful. Even more tailored pieces can lend themselves to this. I’ve been skirting that reality, however, by still throwing my usual moto jackets over my shoulders for an edgy maternity outfits complete with this amazing knitted tote bag. . .
Edgy Maternity Outfit
That sounds dumb, I know. But honestly. My belly keeps growing. My ankles are starting to follow suit. I’m noticing the weight gain in my chin. And my wedding rings recently stopped fitting (obviously not before we took these photos). Needless to say, anything that makes me feel a little cooler is MORE THAN WELCOME!
I actually don’t know if my favorite black leather jacket fits properly. I kind of don’t want to know. And luckily the late spring/May Grey weather of LA usually doesn’t need a jacket actually on – just something over my shoulders!
Knitted Tote Bag
But this knitted tote bag is kind of my everything lately. I got my first knitted tote bag from Verloop knits a few years ago. We did a Fourth of July collaboration, so my bag is red and blue. I loved the bag, especially for afternoon walks to market and weekend farmers markets. But the color wasn’t easy to really wear with an outfit otherwise.
This black and grey stripped knit tote bag situation, however, is everything and more. I actually keep the bag in the hallway over the door handle because I wear it every other day or so. Between trips to the market and days when I just need a big, lightweight bag that holds anything you can imagine, it’s perfect!! The company, Verloop Knits, actually has a lot of bag options is a wide variety of colors. I can’t tell you how happy I’ve been with the structure and durability of the bag. It might look flimsy, but it is everything but!
