This winter season I fell in love with white turtleneck sweater looks. I saw others layering clothes with this sweater casually peeking out under a few different coats and jackets. And everytime I saw a white turtleneck outfit, I got so excited.
I started scouring the internet and waltzing into Nordstrom looking for a white turtleneck sweater of my very own. My escapades, however, left me empty-handed. Oh I found a few beautiful sweaters at Nordstrom, but at $250+ a piece, I sadly left them in the dressing room.
It seemed that short of those rare few finds, all the white sweaters were paper thin (um. No thank you!), had bows on the sleeves (that doesn’t work for layering), or were wonderfully on trend and cropped above my belly button (I can’t wait for that trend to pass).
C’mon people! Anyway, of course, I found the white sweater of my dreams somewhere fairly unexpected…

I’m don’t usually walk into H&M stores – they’re too overwhelming, but the few times I’ve ordered from their online store, I have been so happy.
Anyway, I’ve worn this exact jacket and sweater outfit a handful of times in the last few weeks. And ‘winter’ finally showed up in LA, so I’ve been layering clothes almost to my heart’s content.
For our last minute day trip to Santa Barbara I had this look on with a tank and long sleeve tee underneath. I was quite comfortable, even with the breezes and never had to put on my scarf.
Hello, my name is Luci, and I’m a layering clothes mastermind! #winning Ok – I’m not that fantastic, but it was so nice not to be cold in the wind.
