HUMMUS TOAST

Hummus toast is avocado toast's lesser known cousin. If you love hummus (I certainly do!), then you'll love it on a piece of tasty toast topped with any one of these topping combinations. The fruit and seed combination sounds weird, I know, but don't knock it til you try it!

Ingredients

AVOCADO, BASIL, + CHILI FLAKE HUMMUS TOAST

  • 1 slice hearty bread toasted
  • ¼ Cup hummus
  • 4 basil leaves
  • ½ small avocado
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chili flakes

NUT, RAISIN, + HONEY HUMMUS TOAST

  • ¼ Cup hummus
  • ¼ Cup salted pistachios + raw almonds finely chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon raisins
  • 1-2 Tablespoons honey

ROASTED BELL PEPPER + CHIA SEED HUMMUS TOAST

  • 1 slice hearty bread toasted
  • ¼ Cup hummus
  • ½ roasted bell pepper sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds can also use poppy, sesame, or flax seeds

CUCUMBER + EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING HUMMUS TOAST

Instructions

  • Spread hummus evenly on toasted bread.
  • Layer ingredients as desired.
