OMEGA 3 TRAIL MIX

Trader Joe's has an impeccable trail mix selection (one which I find hard to resist each time I'm in their stores). The absolute best, in my opinion, is their Omega-3 Trek mix. I quickly fell in love and then made it at home as soon as I could. This homemade Trader Joe's trail mix has been my go-to for snacking and serving with cocktails to guests for years!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almonds roasted*
  • cup pecans roasted*
  • cup walnuts roasted*
  • cup pistachios roasted & salted *
  • 1 cup pepitas pumpkin seed kernels, roasted & salted*
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  • To roast the raw nuts, place in a pan over medium heat. Warm about ten minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine ingredients. Store in airtight container.

Notes

* The Trader Joe's version uses roasted/salted almonds, pecans, and pistachios with raw walnuts and pepitas.
