Get ready for some time outside with a quick make-ahead cocktail. This picnic punch comes together in minutes and sits for a few hours before it's ready to enjoy! Don't fret about whipping up cocktails for you or your guests. Have it ready to go in the fridge (or cooler)!
2ouncesfresh lemon juicepreferably Meyer lemons (about 1 large lemon)
4ouncesvodka
6large basil leaves
2sprigs of mint
crushed ice
orange slices and herb leaves for garnish
Instructions
Add the orange juice, lemon juice, and vodka to a quart jar with a lid. Stir well. Add the basil leaves, tearing a few as you toss them in. Add the mint sprigs, pulling a few leaves off and tearing them as well.
Seal the jar. Shake and place the fridge for about 2 hours, until chilled. Shake once or twice as it chills.
To serve, fill 3 to 4 glasses with crushed ice. Strain in the cocktail and garnish with orange slices and herbs before serving.
