LEMONADE SLUSHIE

A delicious drink made with rosemary infused simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and ice. This rosemary lemonade slushie is a year round treat that tastes great but is so easy to make!

Ingredients

Rosemary Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 4" sprigs fresh rosemary

Rosemary Lemonade Slushy

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 6 lemons
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cups ice
  • Dried lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

Rosemary Simple Syrup

  • Add 1 cup of water to a small saucepan. Turn to medium-high heat and stir in the sugar. Stir often, until the sugar completely dissolves into the water and the syrup is clear, about 4 minutes. Once clear, let the syrup simmer for about 30 seconds, but do not let it come to a boil.
  • Turn off the heat and add the rosemary sprigs. Let cool while the rosemary infuses the syrup, at least 30 minutes. Discard the sprigs of rosemary and strain the syrup if necessary to remove any stray leaves.

Rosemary Lemonade Slushy

  • Add the lemon juice, the remaining cup of water, and ½ cup of the syrup to a blender. Add the ice, 1 to 2 cups at a time. Blend on high until it transforms into a frothy slushie.
  • Pour into serving glasses and garnish with dried lemon slices. Serve remaining syrup on the side so that guests can sweeten the drink to their preferences if desired.
