Enjoy this delicious barbecue chicken flatbread recipe. Made with premade dough, it's a great weeknight recipe! Recipe calls for ground chicken, but you can also use rotisserie chicken. BBQ sauce and gruyere bring it all together!!
Cook the ground chicken in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink but not fully browned, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the salt, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Remove from the heat and let cool.
Preheat the oven to 450℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Roll or press the pizza dough into an oval, about 8 inches by 12 inches, and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the barbecue sauce evenly over the dough. Top with the cooled ground chicken, red onion, Gruyère, scallions, and chives.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and baked through.
Turn the broiler on high (about 550 degrees Fahrenheit) and broil for 1 to 2 minutes to lightly brown the top. Watch closely to prevent the parchment paper from burning.
Drizzle with barbecue sauce, slice, and serve warm. Serve crushed red pepper on the side.
