Not only is yogurt great for breakfast (full of protein), it’s also great as a snack, mixed into baking recipes, and as a topping for soups and tacos. The best part of it, however, is that it can be made into a sweet snack or a savory one. Below are just 5 yogurt topping ideas to get your wheels spinning on the deliciousness of Greek yogurt

Ingredients

FRESH FRUIT + GRANOLA

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • ½ fresh orange chopped or supremes
  • ¼ cup granola

FRUIT JAM, BROWN SUGAR, AND SALTED PUMPKIN SEEDS

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon fruit jam of choice
  • 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar depending on taste
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds

BANANA SLICES, CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER, AND DRIED COCONUT

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • ½ banana sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate nut butter peanut, almond, or cashew are fine
  • 1 tablespoon dried coconut sweetened or unsweetened

PESTO, ROASTED TOMATOES,  + TOASTED PINE NUTS

  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 5 cherry tomatoes
  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon pesto
  • 1 tablespoon toasted pine nuts

SUN-DRIED TOMATOES, CUCUMBER SLICES, PINE NUTS, + LEMON ZEST

  • 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
  • 4-5 sun dried tomatoes in oil
  • 5 slices cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  • For all combinations, merely top yogurt with selected toppings. Quantities may vary depending on flavor for sweetness or saltiness.

Roasted Tomatoes

  • Drizzle olive oil over cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle with slat & pepper. Place tomatoes in toaster oven, roast at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Enjoy warm or cool with yogurt
