I’ll let the photos and even just the names of these Chocolate Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bars take you to your happy place. They certainly took me to one!
I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. Like A LOT!! I never buy it though.
I might eat it once a year and it’s usually at my sister’s house. If I find out she has a box, I’ll dig my hands in and grab a handful like I haven’t been fed recently… Luckily, they know me and would never judge me (hopefully!).
When I saw a TV ad for Chocolate Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, I almost fell off the treadmill I was running on. Not only did the cereal sound drool-worthy, but then I dreamed of making rice krispie treats with them!
This cereal makes me do embarrassing things as you can see. Anyway, this Chocolate Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bars recipe would be exactly the same with the regular or chocolate version of this cereal.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bars
You can use your standard rice krispie treat recipe, but you might try two tricks to make them even better. The first is courtesy of my sister. It’s the addition of vanilla after the marshmallows are melted. It’s good – it will change your cereal-marshmallow life forever.
The second trick was one I tried for the first time in this Cinnamon Toast Crunch bars recipe – and that was to brown the butter before adding in the marshmallows. It adds just a hint of nuttiness and chocolate with browned butter is good – it’s just science! You can use the vanilla and the brown butter trick on any cereal marshmallow treats!
Oh yeah. Just look at the magical marshmallowy fluffy goodness. I mean, it’s a mess to clean up (use really hot water!), but it’s so, so worth it, right?! Not to mention these puppies are probably one of the easiest dessert recipes out there!!
How do you make Cocoa Krispies Rice Krispie Treats?
People ask this specific question on google a lot and it’s awesome because you can basically make any cereal into rice krispie treat bars – the world is your oyster!
Whether you’re using regular rice krispies or the cocoa variety. Whether you’re using the ‘plain’ cinnamon toast crunch or this chocolate-y variety. You can even try other cereals (yes, even something like wheat chex is probably good as a marshmallow treat!
If you love the combination of chocolate and spices, you’ll die over this Mexican Chocolate Cake and a Iced Mexican Chocolate Coffee (secretly also good hot)!
If you just need some good, easy chocolate morsels around the house, try homemade white chocolate bark and Scottish chocolate tiffin (a taste treat that should be known the world around).
If your heart is really just into marshmallow and cereal bars these days, then you might opt for Hawaiian Rice Krispie Bars and call it a day!

They have chocolate cinnamon toast crunch????!!! Shut.the.front.door!
ummmmm we talked about this and now it's real!
How delicious! These look like such a fun treat for summer, too.
I know. Right. They also have a peanut butter one, which I'm surprisingly not too excited about. Of course. If it was in front of me, I would WAY eat it! There are also chocolate cheerios. Haven't tried those either…
I know. And I definitely want to make them a million times over and again!
Absolutely! You could do it with any cereal, but chocolate is always best, right?!
