Article Dining Table Review
Recently, Article reached out about reviewing their kitchen table and chairs and I couldn’t say yes fast enough.
You know as you’re slowly getting into your own space, you go through that all too familiar progression of furniture. Just out of college it’s a combination of family furniture and inexpensive finds. Then you slowly start to replace those pieces as you move into new places, develop your style, and care far more about the space you call home.
While my husband and I bought most of our furniture at this point (with some inexpensive pieces still mixed in), our kitchen table was the only family furniture hold out.
Really it’s a great table – sturdy, expandable with the leaf, and perfect for an intimate crowd. You know what drove me crazy about it though (sorry, mom) was the color. It was an oak color, but in all in my photos it just looked yellow. One of those great things in real life, not so great things in pictures though.
Article Furniture Review
My husband and I went back and forth about which table and chairs set up we wanted. As similar as he and I are, our home decor styles don’t often align. We know that if we both love a piece, then it’s perfect, otherwise, it’s pretty much a no-go! Scouring Article’s website, we actually both fell in love with a lot of the same pieces, so that’s a good sign, right?!
Because our dining area isn’t that big, we opted for the 70″ Oscuro table and just four Chanel chairs.
Article delivered the products themselves and I opted to have them set it all up for me! (They have two other delivery services for $49 and $99 if you don’t think you’ll need help assembling your furniture – but we were so glad to have it all set up for us). I’m happy to say it all fits perfectly and we’re so excited to sit at our new table!!

Chicken Chile Verde in the Pressure Cooker
As with any new thing, you want to share it with friends and family. So, I invited a couple over for dinner and decided to also test out my newly discovered pressure cooker skills.
I’m always big on easy entertaining, including dinners for four, and this couldn’t have been any easier. I made rice in the rice cooker, followed this easy recipe for chicken chili verde in the pressure cooker, and then added in the accoutrements for tasty tacos.
Everyone loved our new table setup and the food, so I think we may end up hosting dinner again soon!

Thank you to Article for gifting us the table and chairs for review. As always, all opinions are my own.
Hello! I found your blog as I was checking for reviews for Article’s Oscuro dining table! You mentioned in your other comment that it has hold up pretty well. Would you mind sharing how it’s hold up with your baby/toddler (I see that there’s a high chair in one of your posts)? Do you let the baby eat on the table? I read some reviews that the table scratches fairly easily, and I’m hoping that’s not true (haha!). Thanks in advance!
Aileen
Hi Aileen! Our little guy is 18 months old, so he doesn’t spend a lot of time at the table. He’s in his high chair most of the time for meals. As for scratching… we have one big scratch on our table from when my husband was trying to open a bottle of wine and accidentally dug the base of the bottle into the table. After a few months, it’s wasn’t as stark, though still there. And recently, we made our own wreath on the table and there may be some small scratches from either the twigs of the wreath or the wire. All of that is to say, however, that I don’t think it scratches very easily. Yes, it has some wear and tear, but nothing shocking or disappointing in my book. I hope that helps. Happy to answer any other questions you have.
Luci, thank you so much for taking the time to respond in detail! I truly appreciate what you shared here and I’m even more excited now to get the table. Thank you again!
Aileen
My pleasure! And, yes, we really love our table. Can’t wait to hear how you like yours!!!

Hey! How great. So long story short – the table and chairs are still so great! We moved last year and the setup moved seamlessly from one situation to the next. We get compliments on it all the time and have never had any issues with sturdiness! you can see the table on my IG (Here)
