Holiday shopping and gifting can be overwhelming, especially once you buy for the easier people on your list. Then you’re stuck with those tricky loved ones. I can’t necessarily help you with those holiday hurdles, but DIY holiday gifts do make some gifting a whole lot more easier and delicious! These two DIY salad dressings, especially the vinaigrette, can usually be found in our kitchen. Anytime we have guests, I pull them out and my guests always ask about them, making them a wonderful gift idea.
The fun 4.25oz. glass bottles make the gift cute – not to mention great for transport – and the homemade aspect is always fun. For the labels, I used these scallop gift tags. You get 20 tags for just a few dollars, so you’re set for all your gifting. These metal-rimmed tags would also be fun! These DIY salad dressing gifts are particularly perfect when you’re bringing the salad to a holiday get together! Whip up your favorite dressing or follow this easy recipe for homemade balsamic vinaigrette or one of the other tasty dressing below!
DIY Salad Dressing
I’ve always loved salad dressings at restaurants but never enjoyed the store-bought ones. This balsamic vinaigrette was my first DIY salad dressing at home and I LOVE IT – maybe more than those in restaurants. I love how simple the flavors are and how perfectly it all blends together. I started making more DIY salad dressings at home, surprising myself with how easy they are to make. The next time I bought a dressing at the market, I hated it – all I could taste was the added sugar and the preservatives (even an organic variety)! Now, I can’t bring myself to buy dressings and prefer to always make them from scratch at home.
