40th Birthday Men’s Gift Ideas

My husband had a milestone birthday last week, so the topic of 40th birthday men’s gift ideas has been top of mind for me. A few small things and one big; I feel like we nailed it! Below are the ideas I and others gifted as well as some other brilliant ideas because birthdays are important even if you don’t want them to be a big deal!

It can be tricky to find the right “big” gift idea for a 40th birthday, especially for men (or maybe that’s just me). Besides leaning into current interests, my mom has also taught me to think outside of the box. Sometimes a gift that hadn’t been thought of is a good way to go!
For guys who are pretty set it what they do, however, think of ways to elevate what they already love and/or use regularly (e.g. the wallet and the bBQ tools below).

40th Birthday Men’s Gift Ideas

We’ve had a record player for years (a previous gift to my husband) and our whole family LOVES it! Future gifts are records (and speakers if needed)!

My husband is a big BBQ lover (and I love that for us!). He’s been using pretty standard tools, so leveling up his gear has been a fun gift for him (that benefits us).

This can vary depending on the birthday guy. Look locally for wine tasting experiences, cooking classes, coffee roasting or brewing – anything fun and interesting! Even music lessons!

Game Tickets
If your guy likes sports, why not gift him tickets to see his team? Whether they’re a first time visit or an upgraded experience, this is also a fun one!!

If he likes to cook, stainless steel pans are a dream (and safe) to cook with. This duo comes with an 8″ fry pan and a 1.75qt pot with lid.

Whether this is a first leather wallet or am upgrade, most guys I know don’t often update their wallet, so this is a good one!

My husband has mastered his homemade margaritas and we love a Tajin rim. He’s been make-shifting a rimmer, but I found this one on Etsy and love it!

A portable bluetooth speaker with great sound – perfect in the house, out back, or at the park with friends!
