Sustainable Kitchen Products
When we started living sustainably, the kitchen was probably the first area I started in. It was the place I was most familiar and it was the easiest place for us. It’s taken time (and a bit of learning) to gather the sustainable kitchen products we like – some of which we already had and just plan to love until they’re no longer usable.

Sustainable Kitchen Products
When it comes to sustainability, it’s important to understand that a product is sustainable for any of a few reasons…
What makes a kitchen product sustainable?
- The item itself is made from a natural, long-lasting and/or renewable source (e.g. wood, cork, glass, bamboo).
- The item helps to save other resources (e.g. cuts back on water, gas, electricity, cleaning product usage or helps avoid food waste).
- You already own it! An oft forgotten component to sustainability is that the most sustainable product is the one you already own!
With each of those in mind, take a look through these items below. Many items are from small businesses that I love – others are from big stores, but the items themselves are just so wonderful!
