Watermelon Mocktail
I’ve shared my recent discovery of The Butcher’s Daughter restaurant in LA. They have great food, but what I really love is their watermelon juice. It’s so good that I’ve been non stop craving a fizzy watermelon mocktail drink this summer, which is actually fine because it is SO EASY to make.
And this super simple recipe is my delicious homemade answer to all I could ever want in a summer drink…
I served watermelon juice (watch the video below!) with a flavored sparkling water and it was SO REFRESHING! Fizzy perfection had transpired in the kitchen.
My watermelon mocktail (get more mocktail recipes) was even better than I imagined and now I’m so excited to have such an easy drink to sip on in this summer heat.
Watermelon drinks are super tasty, but they aren’t very common. So while this recipe is SO EASY, it’ll seem like a special treat for you and anybody with whom you share it!

How to Make Watermelon Juice
While some fruits require special machinery to juice them, making watermelon juice couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is put cut up watermelon in a food processor or blender – and process/blend!
It always gets juicier than I think it will, so be sure to allow enough room for lots of liquid!
How to serve Watermelon Mocktail
Once you have the watermelon juice, you can make any kind of watermelon drink recipe you like. I’m a big fan of drinking it straight or with a twist of lime (I seriously don’t know how something so simple can taste so good), but it’s really sublime with the flavored sparkling water!!
As you can guess from the photos, I originally created this recipe with IZZE’s sparkling raspberry watermelon water, which is now no longer available. Luckily there are plenty of other flavored sparkling water options!
A few fun combinations would be bubly’s lime sparkling water; Spindrift raspberry lime or their lemon limeade; La Croix’s watermelon sparkling water, Hi-Biscuss, or key lime; or Waterloo’s watermelon sparkling water.
You can make this fizzy watermelon drink with plain sparkling water, but it’s a bit bland – but to each their own!
I’m also a big fan of serving mocktails in just as fancy of a glass as cocktails. See this ginger beer mocktail served in glamorous Nick & Nora glasses!
Summer Drink Recipes
Summer produce offers tons of tasty sipping options. For non-alcoholic beverages, try this fresh peach lemonade, cucumber lemonade (and this cucumber juice while you’re at it), and healthy iced tea ideas, including this lavender iced tea!
For some adult sips, the summer sangria route will never disappoint… Our favorites include plum sangria, cantaloupe sangria, strawberry sangria, nectarine sparkling rose sangria, cherry sangria, and watermelon sangria!
Other summer libations include fresh fig spritzer, this rhubarb whiskey cocktail, and any one of these strawberry cocktails!
