Kari Gran Skincare Review
There are a lot of clean, natural, organic, unicorn brands out there. And while they all sound fabulous, I rarely am able to try most of a line and able to give a big review. Kari Gran, a oil-based skincare line, however, is one I’ve recently added into my life and I want to give you a full Kari Gran skincare review!

Kari Gran Review
If you’re into the less is more approach to self-care and skincare, then you’ll LOVE Kari Gran Skincare. Developed by Kari herself, the products are elegant and designed with the mantra of simple, natural, and purposeful. #goals
Her skincare regimens are based on the use of 3 products (plus an SPF in the morning) – talk about intentional. I was unsure if just the serum as the last step would be enough moisture, but I tried it with the essential peptide serum recently as the final step in the evening and it was totally fine – granted in summer, I need much less moisture and a facial oil is usually just fine.
Below are the morning and evening routines. If you don’t need a vitamin C brightening serum, you can absolutely use the essential peptide serum morning and night.
MORNING:
~ cleansing oil
~ hydrating tonic (available in rose or lavender)
~ Vitamin C serum
~ SPF
EVENING:
~ cleansing oil*
~ hydrating tonic (available in rose or lavender)
~ Essential Peptide serum
*can double cleanse using this facial cleansing bar after the cleansing oil.

My Individual Kari Gran Product Reviews
I love the Kari Gran brand. Below are my thoughts on each product I’ve tried.
CLEANSING OIL: I’m very particular about cleansing oils. I don’t want to double cleanse. While the Kari Gran cleansing oil says you don’t have to double cleanse, I still feel the residual oil on my face after cleansing and I don’t like that. Nearly every single cleansing oil and cleansing balm I’ve tried requires a double cleanse, so this isn’t unexpected really, but it isn’t for me.
*If you want a cleanser that moisturizes and doesn’t require double cleansing try the Beautycounter cleansing oil or this Indie Lee cleansing balm (use code LUCI20 for 20% off).
LUXE FACIAL CLEANSING BAR: The cleansing bar is nice. After that life complaint about not wanting to double cleanse, you can imagine I didn’t use the cleansing bar much, but it was good at removing the residual oil. Otherwise, it’s a gentle face wash bar. Without using the cleansing oil, it wasn’t a great one-step cleanser for me as I like a bit more moisture.
HYDRATING TONIC: This hydrating tonic is the “toner” step, which every complete skincare regimen should have – yes, even yours. This step adds a good boost of moisture to your skin to help serums and moisturizers work more effectively. It can rebalance pH, and it can increase efficacy of certain product. Read more about what skin toners are for, but just know they’re easy and so helpful!!
The Kari Gran tonic is purely for the experience and to hydrate skin before applying other products and it is LOVELY. I’m partial to the rose scent, but the lavender is quite lovely too.
She recommends spraying this in y our hand and mixing it with your serum. If you do mix the rose with the essential peptide serum, you’re in for a heavenly smelling treat!!
VITAMIN C SERUM: As someone who constantly deals with sun spots and hyperpigmentation, I’m a big fan of vitamin C serums (read all about my go to skin brightening products).
The Kari Gran Vitamin C serum is fine. I didn’t find it as effective as the Beautycounter and Crunchi vitamin C serums, but I think it’s probably perfect for some good brightening and great for sensitive skin!
ESSENTIAL PEPTIDE SERUM: This is the newest product in the line of Kari Gran skincare, and I really like it. For those of you who want great skincare but don’t want a thousand steps, this serum is for you. It’s absolutely fine to replace the serum and moisturizer steps in your skincare routine.
As I mentioned above, in summer, my skin only wants a facial oil for the moisturizer step – morning and night. In winter, I can only use facial oil in the morning, leaning on a heavier cream at night. The essential peptide serum can absolutely be that multitasking facial oil for you though!!
KARI GRAN LIP WHIP: One of my favorite Kari Gran products, one I use every day, is her Lip Whip. It’s a highly moisturizing, tinted lip balm. Lip whips come in peppermint or cinnamon scents and in a wide range of colors. I use the Blush in Peppermint. In fall/winter, I think I’ll try a cinnamon scented one.
Clean Body Care
Any Kari Gran skincare review has to include her two body care items – the body oil and the essential balm. They both have the same scent as the essential peptide serum, which I love. My only maybe complaint about the balm is that I want it in a tub size, because I love using it on my cuticles and dry hands, but that’s a personal problem because I love the product so much!
