Knit Sweater Outfit
I love a good knit sweater outfit. After years of living in LA and pretty much never getting to wear one, I’m still loving it all. And, thankfully, it didn’t take me long to remember (maybe learn too) how to style a knit sweater – with all the appropriate layering even.

Knit Sweater Outfit
As someone who lives in neutrals, it’s not surprise that I’m in a tan sweater, but I love using the warm neutral to pair with black or with bolder colors – a universal choice in my book.
This cable knit wool sweater has a bit of a mock turtleneck, which I love – an interesting silhouette without suffocating. I shared my tricks for rolling turtlenecks down to make them a bit less suffocating, but why not opt for a mock turtleneck that is just naturally lower on your neck.

For this knit sweater outfit, I paired a mock turtleneck shirt underneath, but I’ve also worn it with a regular turtleneck cotton tee as well as just over a t-shirt (see this fall sweater look). It’s really a great layering piece that you can make work with the weather.
I wouldn’t want to throw my sense of style under the bus, but you’ll see that my answer to how to wear a poncho and how to wear a shawl are both pretty similar to the vibe here!

Cafes in Sacramento
These photos were taken just outside Temple Coffee in Midtown Sacramento – it’s one of my favorite cafes in Sacramento. The coffee is yummy and this particular location has pennies in the floor. It’s so fun!
Eric Javits Purse
This Half Dome Zip Bag has become a mainstay in my closet. I love that it uses the SQUISHEE material that’s almost entirely recycled plastic. The black leather trip and the structured shape give it a classic feel that works year round.
The strap is also removable, so I’ve turned the purse into a clutch of sorts. You can see it in this easy, everyday GRWM (Get Ready With Me) layering outfit!
Sustainable Fashion
Want more sustainable fashion? One of the best ways to live sustainably is to rewear pieces again and again! It starts with learning how to find your style.
